The Hei-VAP series of rotary evaporators represent intelligent evaporation in your laboratory from Heidolph. Intelligent evaporation stands for innovative design features based on customer feedback as well as having over 50 years’ experience of manufacturing rotary evaporators.

With a range of models from entry level up to the capability for performing automated distillations they are suitable for teaching labs and research institutions alike.

XL Condenser

For superior evaporation performance

The new XL condenser with industry-leading condensing surface of 2200 cm² achieves up to 40% higher evaporation rates. They are particularly suitable for applications with low heating bath temperatures, high rotational speeds and constantly low vacuum pressure. Available in G3 XL and G9* XL versions.

Hei-VAP Core

Rotation speed and heating bath temperature are controlled by two separate operating knobs which are illuminated by LED ring lights
Both controls can be locked to prevent accidental changing of the values, perfect for teaching labs
Heating knob lights up orange to indicate when heating is active and when in standby mode, blinks when the bath is over 50 ˚C to prevent burns
Display panel is made of glass-bead strengthened material that is splash water resistant in accordance with IP 42
Heating bath has new ergonomic handles and pour spout to make emptying safe and simple. It also has an IP 67 rated power cable to protect against short circuits and corrosion

Central operating panel with a clear 5″ touchscreen display, available as hand or motor lift version
With timer, limitation of max. temperature, multilingual menu and text display for error messages
Clear display of all values
Separate dials for rotation and heating with locking function to prevent accidental readjusting
LED ring lights and pictogram to display what functions are active
Integrated solvent library to advise the optimum vacuum for your distillation
USB and Micro SD interfaces
Display of vapour temperature when using the optional vapour temperature sensor

Hei-VAP Expert Control

As the Hei-VAP Expert, plus control of any vacuum sources and circulation chillers, solvent library, favourite profiles, ramp programming and the dynamic AUTO accurate (DAA) automated distillation mode when using the optional Auto-Accurate sensor
Includes the smart Control-Box for controlling any connected vacuum sources and Heidolph recirculating chillers directly via the rotary evaporator panel
Can be integrated with a Heidolph Vario RPM regulated pump or used with any other vacuum source via a vacuum valve for vacuum control

Hei-VAP Ultimate

Same functionality as the Hei-Vap Expert, with a brilliant 7” touchscreen display, available as hand or motor lift versions
USB and Micro SD plus LAN / RS232 interfaces (Lab 4.0 ready)

Valve-Regulated Vacuum Pumps

Standard vacuum pumps can be controlled manually or via valve operated vacuum controller.

All components which come in contact with media are built from chemically resistant fluoropolymer
The durable PTFE design guarantees an superior diaphragm lifespan
The direct pump drive (without belt) is exceptionally quiet, creates a very low vibrational environment and reduces the need of wear and tear parts to a minimum

RPM-Regulated Vacuum Pumps

Controllable vacuum pumps for digital regulation of the vacuum via operation panel or directly at the unit.

Speed adjustment stops completely if vacuum is reached and runs intermittently at very low speed to hold vacuum constant
Significant noise and vibration reduction due to periods of non-operation
Most precise vacuum level at all times

Ground-free condenser ventilation cap with PTFE inlay and threaded connection prevents stuck glass
