Reaction and filtration in one vessel

In this video we demonstrate our Reactor-Ready Filter Lab Reactor which allows users to perform reactions and filtrations in one vessel, enabling temperature-controlled, agitated, contained filtrations.

Our Filter Lab Reactor is based on our popular Reactor-Ready platform, you can upgrade an existing Reactor-Ready Core to accept filter vessels or purchase a dedicated filter reactor. Our Filter Lab Reactor can be used as a standalone filter or for both reaction and filtrations. The system can be used with a thermoregulator for temperature-controlled filtrations or without it. Filtrations can be done under vacuum or by gravity.

Our filter vessels come with a filter base that can use pre-cut filter membranes in a variety of porosities and materials, or you can cut your own material to size. Assembly of the filter base is simple with our vessel support clamp that also supports your filter cake post filtration, for reduced risk of spillages of your isolated material.

The Reactor-Ready Filter Lab Reactor is available with 1 L and 2 L vessels which are fully jacketed for excellent temperature control. All leading brands of overhead stirrers are accepted to give agitation during reactions and filtrations.

Reactor-Ready Filter Lab Reactor is ideal for crystallisations, powder drying, reaction workups and product isolation.

You can also automate your filter reactor system with our AVA Lab Control Software which controls and data logs all the periphery devices connected to your jacketed lab reactor, such as overhead stirrers, circulators and gravimetric additions modules for accurate liquid dosing.

Reactor-Ready Filter Lab Reactor features include:

  • Range of jacketed filter vessels (1 & 2 L).
  • Fully jacketed vessels for accurate temperature control during reactions and filtration.
  • Temperature range: -30 ˚C to +180 ˚C (thermofluid temperature).
  • Rapid vessel exchange with quick-release vessel clamps and wide bore hose couplings.
  • Innovative hose manifolds allow easy thermofluid drain down.
  • Wide bore BOV for minimal holdup when draining vessel contents.
  • DN150 filter base in either PTFE or PEEK material for wide temperature range and chemical resistivity.
  • Filter base support for easy alignment with vessel.
  • Excellent seal between filter base and vessel for leak free operation.
  • Filter membranes available in polyester or PEEK with a range of porosities.
  • Accepts all leading brands of overhead stirrer and allows easy, tool free adjustment.
  • Self aligning stirrer coupling engages without the need for tools.
  • Wide range of accessory glassware including condensers, dropping funnels etc.
  • Optional AVA software allows you to log and control 3rd party devices.
